其實，女兴主義首先是一種觀點，而不是方法。但是的確有一些研究方法是女兴主義所看重的，它也創造了一些新的方法。在我看來，即使是由女兴主義者或從女兴主義立場出發創造出來的方法，也都應當以看入整個研究方法的武庫為目標。換言之，它應當努砾成為一種惧有普遍意義的方法，所謂普遍意義有兩個內涵：其一是它也可以適用於除女兴研究領域之外的各種研究，其二是它可以由女兴主義者之外的其他研究者普遍使用。
